This charming and traditional farm has been in the owners’ family for many generations
Originally, there was only one stone house, with two floors. As was usual in those times, the ground floor of the house served to shelter the animals, which in this way also served to heat the house.
t has always been inhabited by caretakers and their families who saw their children born there, raised the animals, and harvested the produce from the land.
There is a large pine tree that has stood there for over two centuries that makes its imposing presence undeniable.
Stone House
Comprising a ground floor, where the entire social area is located, with 1 guest bathroom, and a first floor where the 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom are located.
It has air conditioning in all rooms and heating in the bathrooms. It also has internet access both inside and outside, including by the pool area.
Outdoor space

Each has its own outdoor dining area and a portable barbecue for exclusive use, as well as a Bluetooth-enabled sound system.
Both houses have access to a swimming pool with an incredible panoramic view.
One is left with the feeling of having stepped back in time, where the tranquility and simplicity of rural life take over our daily lives.
The surroundings of the farm invite you to take walks and strolls along the rural paths, without losing sight of the Serra da Estrela mountain range Take a walk, on foot or on the bicycles provided, along the trails of our region and commune with nature.
For the safety of all guests, there is a CCTV system outside the communal areas.
The Quinta da Lage Alta is located 2 km from the supermarket, a journey of approximately 4 minutes.
River Lodges
Our unique River Lodges have been custom built with care and attention to detail. The construction of the lodges took time due to their stunning location on the other side of the Mondego river. On one hand, because the Linhares stream could only be crossed in the summer, and on the other hand because all the materials had to be transported by tractor, the only vehicle capable of crossing the stream.
This has allowed the building and the outdoor areas to age gracefully. Mercearia do Alípio – Vila Franca da Serra is also available, 3 km away, a 5-minute journey, it’s a small grocery shop.
Pedestrian access to the River Lodges
The Lodges offer a unique experience in the heart of nature. Access is on foot, via a walk of around one minute from the car park.
This short walk ensures a peaceful and secluded setting, far from the hustle and bustle and ideal for relaxation.
